The central midfielder from Feyenoord Rotterdam was observed by BVB scouts during the Europa League game between Feyenoord and FC Midtjylland (2-2) on Thursday.
The 21-year-old Turkey international has developed tremendously at Feyenoord. Kökcü is now captain and leader of the Dutch.
He has played in 12 competitive games so far this season. He scored four goals and prepared another goal.
