Maria KeaneNational player Florian Neuhaus from Borussia Mönchengladbach will miss the World Cup in Qatar as feared. “We have to be careful with him. I don’t count on him before the World Cup break,” said Gladbach coach Daniel Farke on Saturday evening sky: “I hope that he will be available again in the second half of the season.”
Neuhaus, who had little chance of winning the World Cup anyway, has been out since September due to a partial rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. There was contact with national coach Hansi Flick, the 25-year-old said on Saturday sky: “We discussed the situation, even if it had been clear to me for a long time.”
Although Neuhaus did not have to be operated on, he was not spared a long break.
