Bruno Guimaraes is set to succeed Kanté from Newcastle United

According to information from SPOX and GOAL eye on Bruno Guimarães from Premier League rivals Newcastle United. The Blues are interested in signing the Selecao star for the coming season and are currently preparing an offer.

The Magpies, on the other hand, want to offer the 24-year-old midfielder a new contract. Guimarāes is currently tied until 2026. The new working paper is set to make him the top earner in the Newcastle squad.

Guimarães could succeed world champion N’Golo Kanté at Chelsea next year. The Frenchman is under contract with the Londoners until 2023, but the club and players have not yet been able to agree on a new working paper. Meanwhile, Kanté has already been traded as a newcomer to numerous top clubs.

Guimarães only switched from Olympique Lyon to Newcastle in January this year for a good 42 million euros. He has two goals and two assists in nine Premier League games this season.
