In the middle of the tight Premier League calendar today, Wednesday, January 5th, the first first leg in the Carabao Cup between the London clubs Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur will take place. The venue is London’s Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea FC. The referee Craig Pawson whistles for the game at 8.45 p.m. and ensures fairness on the pitch for 90 minutes including stoppage time.

Although the Blues could only win one of the last five games in the league, it is still enough for second place after 21 game days. Tottenham is still suffering from the weak start to the season, but the results have been good since taking over coach Antonio Conte. The last loss in the league so far was more than a month ago.

However, the game in the first half of the league went to Chelsea. Coach Thomas Tuchel’s team prevailed 3-0.
