Change of consultant as a transfer aid? Barca apparently keen on Manchester United flop Donny van de Beek

FC Barcelona is apparently stretching out its feelers to Donny Van de Beek. According to Sports The Catalans expect chances of signing, especially after a recent change of agent for the Dutchman.

Van de Beek recently switched to the consultancy “HCM Sports Management”. Barca maintains good contact with them, as the agency also represents Van de Beek’s compatriot and friend Frenkie De Jong and striker Martin Braithwaite – both of whom are known to be under contract with Blaugrana.

The fact that the 24-year-old has made the switch to new consultants strongly suggests a change request. In view of his standing in Manchester, this would hardly be surprising, especially since Van de Beek’s ex-advisor had already reported in the last transfer window that his client was willing to change.

Van de Beek came to the Red Devils from Amsterdam in the summer of 2020 and since then has mostly had to sit on the bench or even in the stands. The Dutchman, who is under contract in Manchester until 2025, has a meager six minutes in the Premier League this season after ten match days.
