Wilfried Zaha had the chance to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. But the Ivorian national player has this option according to information from SPOX and GOAL rejected.
The player is set to leave Crystal Palace in the summer and Al-Nassr is said to be interested in signing. Zaha had previously received offers from Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, both of which were not accepted.
The 30-year-old has endured a below-par season at Selhurst Park with just six goals. With several top European clubs vying for his signature, the talented striker could still try to establish himself in Europe rather than going to Saudi Arabia. Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and also AC Milan are a few well-known prospects who could fulfill Zaha’s desire for European football.
The Eagles forward previously turned down an offer from Crystal Palace to extend his contract. The English club wanted to offer their long-time striker a new deal that would see his salary rise from €7.5m to around €11.5m. The rejection of the pay rise is a clear sign that Zaha’s time in London could end this season.
With Zaha on a free transfer in May, several clubs could be vying for the striker. The Crystal Palace forward still aspires to European football and clubs like Dortmund, Bayern or Milan could lure him. Arsenal and Chelsea have already expressed interest in signing the striker and although he has denied the rumours, the two London clubs could approach the striker again with an offer.
