Finally a new club for Cristiano Ronaldo? Argentino's Juniors lure CR7

Cristiano Ronaldo has received an offer from Argentina while looking for a new club. Whereby: The offer of the Argentinian club Argentinos Juniors from Buenos Aires should probably not be meant that seriously.

Above Twitter the South American first division club started a campaign on Thursday to make it palatable for CR7 to play football in Argentina.

Under the title “Dream Big”, the social media post shows that a jersey has already been reserved for the multiple world footballer from Portugal. Of course with the number ‘7’.

Additionally, Argentinos Juniors’ tweet was tagged “ElBichoAlBicho.” Translated, this means something like “The beetle to the beetle”.

Background: In Spanish-speaking countries, Argentinos Juniors and Cristiano Ronaldo share this nickname.

And even if the Argentinos Juniors will play in the Copa Libertadores next season – the Champions League of South American football – and Ronaldo’s remaining club Manchester United will only play in the Europa League, a move from CR7 to Argentina should be anything but realistic. And the post from the Buenos Aires club is nothing more than a marketing gimmick.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s search for a club continues. The Portuguese is back in the Manchester United squad after his suspension, but a change seems unavoidable after recent events, including being substituted off against Tottenham.
