“I think – and that goes for everyone involved – that we don’t want to continue this for too long. I don’t think that would be good for anyone, not for Harry, not for the club.” However, Postecoglou conceded: “On the other hand, I don’t want to set a deadline either because that would create even more pressure. You want these things to go the right way. The truth is he’s still a player with our club and that’s how I see him.”
At the same time, the coach clarified: “It’s not like his contract ends on August 12 and he has to make a decision. He has a year left on his contract. That’s why I’m not relaxed, but I’m not putting pressure on him or anyone else. But I don’t think any of us want this story to go on for too long.”
