Jürgen Klopp receives the first bankruptcy and slips with Reds

Liverpool FC under team manager Jürgen Klopp has lost a competitive game in the English Premier League for the first time in 25 games.

The Reds lost 2: 3 (1: 1) at the end of the eleventh game day at West Ham United and slipped to fourth place in the table. This success pushed West Ham past Liverpool and with 23 points is now only three points behind leaders Chelsea (26).

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker fisted the ball into his own box in the 4th minute of the game and gave the hosts the lead. Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the equalizer with a directly converted free kick (41st), but Pablo Fornals (67th) and Kurt Zouma (74th) brought West Ham back to winning ways. Divock Origi was only able to shorten it shortly before the end (83rd). Sadio Mane equalized in stoppage time, but aimed past a free kick (90 + 1).

Tottenham Hotspur also missed a win in the league debut of new coach Antonio Conte. At Everton, the Spurs did not get past a 0-0. Everton’s Mason Holgate was red carded in added time for a foul.
