Liverpool FC: Didi Hamann criticizes

Things are not going well for Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool FC at the moment.

Didi Hamann has criticized Liverpool FC and coach Jürgen Klopp. The Reds are “tired, boring and exhausted,” the 49-year-old told the sports radio station talkSPORT.

“At some point you have to discuss the manager and I don’t know how far we are from that,” Hamann continued.

Liverpool sit a disappointing tenth place in the Premier League. The Klopp team only picked up ten points from eight games and lost 3-2 at Arsenal on Saturday. In the Champions League, the Reds got six points from three games.

“In the last three or four years they were at the peak of their performance,” Hamann continued: “But I don’t think that can be achieved again.” The former midfielder, who himself played for Liverpool between 1999 and 2006, said he wonders “where the spark will fly from”.

He sees small things, Hamann explained, that are negative: “Like Jordan Henderson in the middle of the week against Rangers. He’s taken down, takes off his captain’s armband and just shakes his head. That’s something we haven’t had in Liverpool for five years have seen more. Maybe these are small signs that there are problems within the team or even with the manager.”

Difficult tasks await Liverpool FC

Heavy tasks are now waiting for Liverpool. On Wednesday, the English are guests in the premier class at Glasgow Rangers, on Sunday Manchester City come to Anfield Road.

“Is that the perfect opponent to get his confidence back? Probably not,” said Klopp, looking ahead to the duel against Erling Haaland.

Klopp joined Liverpool from Borussia Dortmund in 2015. With the Reds he won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020. The 55-year-old’s contract runs until 2026.
