Manchester United are reportedly keen on Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong. That reports sky. Accordingly, the first talks between the Red Devils and the Dutchman’s consulting agency had already taken place.
On Monday, Leverkusen presented another right-back in Brazilian Arthur, who has been given a contract until 2028.
That suggests Frimpong could well be let go if there is a decent offer for the 22-year-old at Leverkusen. According to the report, Bayer wants at least 40 million euros for Frimpong.
Leverkusen had signed Frimpong for eleven million euros from Celtic in Glasgow around two years ago. If it works out with the resale to United for 40 million euros, the transfer profit for the Bundesliga club would amount to 29 million euros.
Frimpong has a strong eight goals and five assists in 26 games in the current Bundesliga season. He has not yet made an international match for the Netherlands.
