Maria KeaneFormer England international Mason Greenwood from record champions Manchester United has apparently been arrested again. As AFP reported Greenwood violated his bail conditions.
As a spokesman for the Manchester police confirmed, it was known that a 21-year-old man “is said to have breached his bail conditions”. A provisional arrest was apparently made on Saturday, but the investigation is still ongoing.
Greenwood was first arrested in January on serious allegations of violence and abuse and death threats against his then-girlfriend. He was released on bail three days later.
His partner had pictures at the time Instagram published showing injuries. There was also audio recordings of Greenwood allegedly attempting to force the woman into sexual activity. The posts were later deleted.
Manchester United then released the attacker from training and games “until further notice” and has not used him since.
