Maria KeaneManchester United’s England international Mason Greenwood was released from custody on Wednesday after posting bail.
After a closed session at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court, a court spokeswoman said bail was granted on condition that Greenwood not contact witnesses in the proceedings and reside at a specific address. The striker is due to appear in court again on November 21.
Greenwood was arrested last Saturday for violating his terms. He is charged with attempted rape, intentional assault and coercion. Manchester United have released the attacker permanently from training and game operations.
