Maximum three or four years at Manchester City

Erling Haaland’s father Alf-Inge has spoken about his son’s future plans and has already anticipated a possible farewell to Manchester City.

“I think Erling wants to prove his skills in all leagues. Then he can stay there (at Manchester City, ed.) for a maximum of three or four years,” says Haaland senior in the documentation Haaland: The Big Decision.

The 49-year-old, himself a professional at City from 2000 to 2003, continues: “For example, he could have been in Germany for two and a half years, in England for two and a half years and then in Spain, Italy and France, right?”

Haaland moved from Borussia Dortmund to England in the summer for 60 million euros and has signed with City for five years until 2027. The start at the Skyblues went well for the 22-year-old striker, in ten competitive games for the new club he has already scored 14 goals.
