The former Dortmund professional footballer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is no longer captain of Arsenal FC after the “disciplinary violation” last week. The Gunners announced on Tuesday. In addition, the 32-year-old will be removed from the squad for the league game against West Ham United on Wednesday (9 p.m.).
Last week, Aubameyang was not in the squad for the game against Southampton FC due to the violation. “We expect all of our players, especially our captain, to work according to the rules and standards that we have all set and agreed upon,” said the club in a statement.
The Gunners have not yet disclosed what exactly Aubameyang is guilty of.
