Premier League: Liverpool FC embarrass themselves at the bottom

Liverpool have suffered another setback in the Premier League. The team of team manager Jürgen Klopp surprisingly lost 0-1 (0-0) at bottom Nottingham Forest, most recently the Reds had returned to the road to success with victories over Manchester City (1-0) and West Ham United (1-0).

Liverpool had more possession and created many chances to score, but the Klopp team were unable to take advantage of them. Former Bundesliga professional Taiwo Awoniyi (55th) scored the outsider’s winning goal after a free kick from half field.

As a result, the promoted team kept appearing dangerously in front of the Liverpool goal, but goalkeeper Alisson Becker kept the guests in the game with his saves. His opponent Dean Henderson held on to the home win in stoppage time when Virgil van Dijk headed the ball (90+2).

Liverpool, who have had a poor start to the season, are further behind the international ranks on just 16 points in the table. Nottingham overtook Leicester City and initially left last place.
