Roberto Firmino is out longer after a "serious" injury

Liverpool FC has to do without Roberto Firmino (30) for a long time. According to coach Jürgen Klopp, the striker sustained a “serious” hamstring injury.

In the 2-0 win in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid during the week, the Brazilian was replaced due to an injury and had to limp off the pitch.

The club then confirmed Firmino’s injury on Friday. LFC coach Klopp announced that the offensive player could be out until December. “The loss of Bobby Firmino is a big blow,” said Klopp at a press conference: “It’s a serious injury. We’ll talk for weeks. Then we’ll have to wait and see.”

The striker was supposed to join the Brazilian national team during the upcoming international break, but nothing will come of it now. Instead, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior is nominated for the Selecao.

Firmino is also in his seventh season with the Reds an absolute top performer. The ex-Hoffenheimer scored six goals in his eleven appearances this season and prepared another goal.
