Aston Villa separates from team manager Smith

The successor to the German team manager Daniel Farke, who was dismissed as team manager at Norwich City a week ago, will be Dean Smith. This was announced by the bottom of the Premier League table on Monday.

As the club further announced, the new head coach signed a contract until mid-2024. Smith had been relieved of his post at Aston Villa at almost the same time as Farke.

A difficult task awaits the 50-year-old in the Canaries. The bottom of the league could only win one of eleven games this season.
