Standing places back from January 3rd

The English soccer record champions Manchester United with team manager Ralf Rangnick will again receive standing room support in the “Theater of Dreams” from the new year. As the Red Devils confirmed in their fan forum, the test phase starts with the home game at Old Trafford on January 3rd against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In addition to ManUnited, Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and second division Cardiff City are taking part in the pilot project on safe standing. It means the end of a 25-year ban on standing in the two highest English leagues.

ManUnited had so-called “barrier seats” built in the northeast of Old Trafford in the summer of 1519, which can be converted into standing room. Until the Wolves game, 500 more are to be added to the guest block.
