Julian Nagelsmann will not become Chelsea manager. As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, the former Bayern Munich coach has given the Londoners a refusal after several rounds of negotiations.
According to Romano, there was regular contact between Nagelsmann and the Londoners. He was the favorite to succeed Graham Potter, who was released a few weeks ago. However, no agreement was reached on important points of cooperation.
Nagelsmann is without a job after his surprising release from FC Bayern at the end of March. His contract in Munich runs until 2026. He is also in talks with Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid.
According to Fabrizio Romano, former Spanish national coach Luis Enrique is no longer a candidate at Chelsea.
Mauricio Pochettino, who once worked successfully for neighbors Tottenham, should still have hopes for the job. However, no quick decision can be expected, Chelsea want to be “100 percent” sure about the new head coach.
