Maria KeaneLiverpool winger Luis Díaz is out until next year with a knee ligament injury after suffering the injury in Sunday’s 3-2 defeat by Arsenal.
Specifically, the Colombian tore a ligament in his knee and will therefore be absent from the Reds for the rest of the year. With Colombia not qualifying for the World Cup, he will not be at the tournament in Qatar anyway.
In addition to Luis Díaz, Trent Alexander-Arnold also had to be substituted off for the Gunners through injury, although no diagnosis has yet been released.
The 25-year-old Díaz has been one of the bright spots for the Reds in recent weeks, despite the tense sporting situation. He was also able to set up Darwin Núñez’s 1-1 draw in the top game against Arsenal. He has four goals and three assists in twelve games this season.
