3rd league: FCS wins 4:3 in Duisburg

1. FC Saarbrücken has moved up to fifth place in the 3rd division with 37 points. In Sunday’s game at MSV Duisburg, which was threatened with relegation, the Saarlanders won 4:3 (1:0). Sebastian Jacob (12th), an own goal by Leo Weinkauf (64th) and Adriano Grimaldi (68th/78th) ensured the decision in favor of FCS. Aziz Bouhaddouz (74’/80′) and Orhan Ademi (88′) scored for the Zebras.
Meanwhile, SV Meppen suffered a heavy setback in the promotion race. The Emsländer lost their home game against FSV Zwickau 1:3 (1:1) and with 36 points provisionally the contact to the promotion ranks.
In the event of a win, Meppen could have drawn level with second-placed 1. FC Kaiserslautern and third-placed Eintracht Braunschweig.
Luca Horn (3rd) put the Saxons in the lead, an own goal by Steffen Nkansah (32nd) equalized. Manfred Starke (82nd) and Dominic Baumann (90th + 2) scored the other goals for Zwickau.
