3rd league: VfL Osnabrück moves closer to FCM

VfL Osnabrück moved up to leaders 1. FC Magdeburg on the 15th matchday of the 3rd division. The Lower Saxony won 3: 1 (1: 1) against 1860 Munich and are only one point behind FCM, who have home rights against SC Verl on Sunday (2 p.m.).

In Osnabrück, Ba-Muaka Simakala (39th / 48th) met twice and turned the game around after the 0: 1 by Stefan Lex (24th). Felix Higl (85th) scored the 3-1 for the second division relegated.

Third is SV Meppen after their 1-0 (1-0) success with Lukas Krüger’s (16) hit at Borussia Dortmund II. Waldhof Mannheim lost 1: 2 (0: 1) to newly promoted SC Freiburg II and slipped to position five.

A Saarbrücker Ludwigspark sold out with 16,000 spectators was there in the 0: 2 (0: 0) in the southwest classic against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The FCS was the first professional club to abolish all corona restrictions during the game. Boris Tomiak (32nd) and Kenny Redondo (67th) scored for the Red Devils.
