Investor Hasan Ismaik thanks Sascha Mölders after terminating the contract

Hasan Ismaik, investor at 1860 Munich, publicly thanked his former captain after Sascha Mölders had terminated his contract.

“Dear Sascha Mölders, that this has come to an end makes me sad, because you stood at TSV 1860 at a very difficult time. I give you credit for that. You gave football a face in 1860, your goals have brought us to the third division. You and your goals will be remembered in 1860, “wrote Ismaik on social media.

“Unfortunately, football is fast-paced and it always brings about personnel changes, not always without painful decisions,” he said and wished Mölders all the best for his sporting and private future.

Mölders’ contract, which ran until the end of the season, was immediately terminated on Sunday after “constructive talks”.

In the run-up, “all misunderstandings had been cleared up” and both parties had agreed that the separation was “the best solution,” the statement said.

At the beginning of December, Mölders had been suspended until further notice, as it later turned out, due to a lack of fitness. Afterwards, he was “shocked” about this decision on Instagram.

This season he has scored five goals in 21 appearances and prepares five more. He has been active for the lions since 2016.
