MSV and RWE break away from the relegation zone

MSV Duisburg and Rot-Weiss Essen have moved further away from the relegation zone in the 3rd division. The Zebras defeated newcomers VfB Oldenburg 3-2 (3-1) and, as 12th in the table, have 33 points.
Julian Hettwer (20th/23rd) and Rolf Feltscher (40th) scored the MSV goals. Manfred Starke (26th) and Patrick Hasenhüttl (87th) scored for VfB, who are penultimate in the table with 21 points.
In the promotion duel against SpVgg Bayreuth, the ex-Bundesliga team Essen won 2-0 (0-0) and now has 32 points on the account. Felix Herzenbruch (61st) and Björn Rother (68th) scored the goals for RWE to win. Bayreuth in 15th place has 25 points.
