Saarbrücken jumps to a relegation place for the time being

1. FC Saarbrücken has made it to the relegation place in the 3rd division, at least for the time being. At the start of the 18th matchday, coach Uwe Koschinat’s team prevailed 2-1 (1-0) at FSV Zwickau on Friday and stayed in third place (30 points) at least overnight.

Zwickau, unbeaten in nine league games before the game, is in 14th place (21st). Julian Günther-Schmidt brought Saarbrücken into the lead early on (3rd), Steffen Nkansah (66th) managed to equalize the hosts in the meantime.

Sebastian Jacob scored again for FCS with a penalty kick (90th), caused by Zwickau’s Davy Frick (90th), who saw the red card for it (90th).
