AC Milan offer for Florian Grillitsch rejected - player wants transfer

ÖFB team player Florian Grillitsch has received an offer from AC Milan – they report courier and the Kicker. But TSG Hoffenheim is still hesitating.

The rumors about Florian Grillitsch and the Rossoneri have been persistent for a few days. Now TSG Hoffenheim should have a concrete offer for the Austrian. However, this is too low for the Kraichgauer to sell the Austrian national player.

Apparently it is a high single-digit million amount. However, Hoffenheim insists on 12 to 15 million euros. His contract in Hoffenheim ends in summer 2022, which strengthens the Milanese’s negotiating position. If TSG want to monetize their key player, August would be the best opportunity.

Grillitsch had, according to the Kicker already “emotionally involved in the change”. “I don’t necessarily want to leave TSG, I have a contract until 2022. But another career step is conceivable for me, I feel ready for it,” said Grillitsch, flirting with a potential club change before the European Championship.

The 26-year-old, who was trained in the St. Pölten-Jugend, moved to Werder Bremen in the summer of 2014. The Austrian national game played 26 times on the Weser in 54 games (4 goals, 6 assists). In the summer of 2017, Grillitsch moved to Hoffenheim for free, and the central midfielder played a whopping 133 games for TSG (8 goals, 11 assists).
