Accordingly, Lewandowski’s adviser Pini Zahavi felt for the Blues. The Londoners should have offered 80 million euros.
Allegedly, however, Chelsea have refused. The sum is too high for the 32-year-old Pole. Instead, they signed the four years younger Romelu Lukaku from Inter for 115 million euros.
In addition, Lewandowski would not have received any approval from FC Bayern. The Munich team emphasized again and again that the world footballer would not be given up.
FC Bayern: Hainer excludes Lewandowski departure
“His contract runs for another two years, during which time he will definitely play for FC Bayern,” said Hainer in a question and answer session with Chinese media, in which SPOX and Goal also took part.
The record champions could also imagine extending again with the Pole. Lewandowski broke Gerd Müller’s record with 41 goals in a Bundesliga season last season.
