Bayer 04 Leverkusen sign offensive jewel Adli as a Bailey replacement

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have found a replacement for Leon Bailey and signed the French offensive jewel Amine Adli. The 21-year-old comes from second division FC Toulouse to the Rhine and receives a contract until 2026. Bayer did not provide any information about the transfer fee, it should be between twelve and 15 million euros.

“Amine Adli is the last piece of the puzzle that we really wanted to use when putting our squad together,” said sporting director Simon Rolfes: “He has tremendous speed and very good technique, is extremely agile and tricky. I am sure that we will will have a lot of fun with him in the years to come. “

Adli, who was also traded as a newcomer at Bayern Munich, had eight goals and seven assists in 33 Ligue 2 games in 2020/21 and was named Player of the Season. Bayer had collected around 32 million euros from Aston Villa for Jamaican Bailey.
