BVB insider apparently attests to Malen having a mentality problem

One of The Athletic The quoted insider, who, according to the newspaper, is supposed to be close to the BVB cabin, attests to the Dortmund king transfer Donyell Malen, who has recently been criticized more and more, to have a mentality problem. Conversely, he is certain that the Dutch national player’s fitness problems are not the reason why he has had “surprisingly big problems” with the speed and physical demands of the Bundesliga after his move from PSV Eindhoven to BVB.

According to the source quoted, BVB officials around sports director Michael Zorc and coach Marco Rose, who recently counted times publicly, asked the 22-year-old to “stay in the moment” more often and to use his “considerable speed” in one-on-one to use much more often.

Despite his unexciting start, BVB still hopes that Malen, who was worth 30 million euros in the summer, will be better presented in the future. It is still “far too early” to form a final report on the Dutchman.

Malen moved to Dortmund in the summer as the designated replacement for Jadon Sancho, who had migrated to Manchester United, but was only directly involved in three goals in 17 competitive games to date. Sancho got off to an even more difficult start with the Red Devils. While painting is regularly used at BVB, Sancho is often only planned as a joker under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Recently, rumors made the rounds that the Norwegian wanted to retrain Sancho as a right-back.

BVB, News – Kehl warns players: “Next phase is incredibly important”

After the difficult past weeks with three bankruptcies against Ajax and RB Leipzig, BVB licensed player manager Sebastian Kehl expects an increase in performance from the Dortmund professionals.

“The next phase will be incredibly important for us,” the 41-year-old told dem kicker and thus alluded to the upcoming trend-setting matches in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

In both competitions it was last bankruptcy for the black and yellow. While they lost out twice in a row against Ajax Amsterdam in the premier class (0: 4, 1: 3), they also got a damper in the league against RB Leipzig in the championship race (1: 2). The gap to industry leader Bayern Munich is now four points.

There is hope that one or the other player who has been sorely missed will soon be available again. With Raphael Guerreiro, Nico Schulz, Marius Wolf and Mahmoud Dahoud, four players are about to return to training. BVB, however, has to do without top striker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian will be out for a longer period due to a hip flexor injury and will probably not be used again this calendar year.

BVB, News: Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants to return to Dortmund

Ex-Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan has expressed the wish to return to BVB one day. “At some point I want to come back to Dortmund,” said the Roma midfielder in an interview with Sport1. “I don’t know if as a player, but definitely as a spectator!”

Mkhitaryan really enjoyed the time at BVB. “It is a dream for every player to play in Dortmund. The Yellow Wall is crazy. I enjoyed it week after week. To this day, my team-mates in Armenia and Roma have been asking me what it’s like to play in front of 81,000. I am very proud that I am part of BVB history, “he said. Dortmund, News: De Bruyne explains a failed BVB change

ManCity star Kevin De Bruyne did an interview with the Dutch daily Het Nieuwsblad reveal that he was about to move to Borussia Dortmund a few years ago – but the Blues vetoed it.

“Chelsea really wanted to keep me and give me a chance,” said the 30-year-old. “But I actually wanted to go to Dortmund.” Allegedly, everything was already clear before then head coach Jose Mourinho rejected the deal at the last second.

“Mourinho then said no,” said the Belgian at the time Sports picture. Rumor has it that Mourinho was angry because Dortmund refused to give up striker Robert Lewandowski to the Blues. “My agent told me that too. But that’s professional football. Wherever a lot of money is spent, there is also a lot of politics,” said De Bruyne.

It was not until 2014 that De Bruyne was allowed to leave Chelsea and return to the Bundesliga. Not to Dortmund, however, but to VfL Wolfsburg. A year and a half later, his $ 76 million transfer to Manchester City followed.
