BVB keeper Kobel wants to achieve “level of new”

Gregor Kobel has high goals. “I don’t want to compare myself with Manuel Neuer yet. I’m still a long way off, especially when it comes to successes. Of course, my goal is to reach the level of Neuer in the future,” said BVB’s new number one Conversation with the Sports picture.

National goalkeeper Neuer from the German record champions Bayern Munich is “an inspiration and an incentive”.

The 23-year-old moved from VfB Stuttgart to BVB for 15 million euros. “I wear number one on my jersey and I have exactly this claim – but I have to prove it every day in training and then in the games. In the end, it’s always about performance, no one has a guarantee of playing time,” said the Swiss.
