BVB, News: Rose gives an update on Brandt

Julian Brandt clashed violently with FCB defender Dayot Upamecano in the 65th minute in a header duel in BVB’s 3-2 defeat against FC Bayern Munich. After five minutes of treatment on the pitch, the dazed midfielder had to be carried off the field. On Sunday, Sebastian Kehl gave an update on the health of the offensive player.

“He suffered a concussion, but otherwise everything is fine and after a night in the hospital he’s feeling much better again,” said the head of BVB’s licensed players department kicker. “We are all very relieved, we were lucky.”

Immediately after the game, BVB coach Marco Rose gave the first all-clear. He had “just found out that Jule Brandt is already doing very well,” said the BVB trainer on Sky-Microphone and pushed: “I saw a photo where he had his thumbs up. And he has already written to the group.”

Borussia Dortmund also tweeted that Brandt had to be taken to the hospital, but that “given the circumstances” he is fine.

Brandt had shown a good performance up to his substitution and gave Borussia the early lead (5th). “He played a good game,” said Bayern’s Thomas Müller after the game, which had ten minutes of stoppage time due to the break in treatment, among other things.

BVB Stadium will once again be used as a vaccination center

As in the previous year, Borussia Dortmund will “convert part of the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK together with the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians Westphalia-Lippe (KVWL) into a vaccination center”. BVB announced this at the end of November. It is also possible today, Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to be vaccinated.

As early as the summer of 2020, the association made numerous doses of vaccine available. The promotion has been running since December 2nd.

BVB-News: Bellingham attacks Zwayer

Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham reacted with harsh criticism to the performance of referee Felix Zwayer in the top match between BVB and FC Bayern Munich (2: 3).
