BVB, rumors: Mats Hummels threatens to miss the start of the season
BVB defense chief Mats Hummels will obviously miss the start of the season for the black and yellow team due to an injury. As the picture reported, the 32-year-old will definitely be out of the first round of the DFB Cup next Saturday against Wehen Wiesbaden due to problems with the patellar tendon. A use at the Bundesliga season start against Frankfurt (August 14) is therefore questionable.
The knee problems already bothered Hummels during the European Championships, and in the Borussia training camp he had mainly trained individually. A return to team training was open until the end, now he does not seem to be fit in time for the competitive game opener.

As Borussia announced on Monday, almost 2900 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 during the vaccination campaign in Signal Iduna Park. “We see this number as a great success.
