This emerges from a message that the fan alliance “Südtribüne Dortmund” published online. There it says: “Admittedly, partial admissions of spectators are a step forward compared to completely empty stands, but the stadium experience as we know and love it is not possible even under these conditions.”

In addition, the fans criticize the attitude of politics. “What we are completely lacking in the current situation is the specific will and perspectives on the part of the decision-makers to make large outdoor events possible again at all”, so the argumentation.

It is felt that it is “no longer tenable in the medium term” to restrict access to the stadium when the vaccination rate is increasing, enough vaccine is available and there are also sufficient test facilities. One therefore demands “that in this country, too, a clear prospect of a return of all spectators to the stadiums as soon as possible is created”.

The statement also addresses the admission of away fans. These are now allowed again in Switzerland and Austria, for example. “The goal must be the status before the pandemic – including full guest contingents of ten percent of the tickets!”, It says.
