FC Bayern Munich - Max Eberl makes it clear: "There is no transfer" from Jonas Hofmann

Max Eberl has ruled out a transfer from Jonas Hofmann to Bayern Munich. There will also be no change from Matthias Ginter.

“There is no transfer,” said Eberl Image live on Sunday: “Jonas stays in Gladbach.”

The managing director of Borussia Mönchengladbach put an end to the rumors about Hofmann. Most recently, Eberl had joked at a press conference and faked a call from Hasan Salihamidzic.

On Friday, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann referred said rumors to the realm of fables and described them as “bizarre” at his press conference.

Now Eberl made it clear: “I never negotiated with Brazzo about Jonas. There was never a specific offer or specific discussions.” Hofmann’s contract with Gladbach runs until 2023.

Matthias Ginter is also staying with Borussia Mönchengladbach

According to Eberl, Matthias Ginter’s transfer will not happen again this summer. “Our squad is in place,” said the 47-year-old. Ginter was also associated with FC Bayern.

No Ginter, no Hofmann – is that why Marcel Sabitzer comes to Bayern? Due to the lack of an offer for Hofmann, Eberl says: “The puzzle would then fit.”

Before Bayern’s 5-0 win against Hertha BSC, Salihamidzic indicated an imminent execution: “We have already dealt with the player. It could be an issue.”
