FC Bayern, News: Matthäus criticizes Lucas Hernandez

Record national player Lothar Matthäus has verbally buttoned Bayern star Lucas Hernandez and criticized the defender with clear words. He was “more of a follower than someone who can be trusted,” said Matthew at Sky90 regarding Hernandez’s performance in the 1-0 win against Arminia Bielefeld.

In addition, Matthäus attested that the French had “huge problems” in terms of speed, especially in direct duels with his opponent Patrick Wimmer. “He ran after him in two or three actions. That shouldn’t happen at a high level,” said Matthäus.

FC Bayern, News: Will Lewandowski get the Ballon d’Or?

Big day for Robert Lewandowski: The top scorer of FC Bayern Munich reaches for the Ballon d’Or. At the presentation (from 8.30 p.m.) of the prestigious award by the French sports newspaper France Football the Pole sees great opportunities. But the competition is fierce.

Since 2008, with one exception, the coveted trophy has always gone to Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi – Luka Modric won in 2018. Last year the Ballon d’Or was not awarded due to the pandemic.

For Lewandowski, the fact that he surpassed Gerd Müller’s “eternal” Bundesliga record last season and scored 41 goals this season speaks for itself. Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann also called the 33-year-old’s “incredible attitude” towards his job. “He always hits himself. FC Bayern, News: Kroos taunts Thomas Müller

Thomas Müller is known as a versatile offensive player, but in the 1-0 win against Arminia Bielefeld, the national player surprised in a new role – and caused astonishment among his former team-mate Toni Kroos.

The Real Madrid midfielder responded with a joke to a tweet from Müller who posted a picture of a corner kick. “Corner shooter?” Wrote Kroos. And Müller’s former Bayern colleague Mats Hummels liked Kroos’ tweet.

Müller reacted quickly. “You can often read that with footballers that they are looking for new challenges. I’ll do it differently,” countered the Bayern attacker and posted a wink emoji and one with sunglasses.
