FC Bayern, rumor: FCB probably want to look out for players at Barca and PSG

The transfer window is only open for a few days until August 31. If clubs want to strengthen their squad, they have to react promptly. Even at Bayern there are persistent rumors that one or two more players could come, but the FCB bosses have so far kept a low profile.

As Sport 1 now would like to know, something could still happen. According to this, the squad is still classified as “very well staffed” by the management, but FC Bayern is still on the lookout for new players on the transfer market.

Above all, Bayern should watch closely what happens at clubs like FC Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain. Due to the financial hardship of the Catalans or conditions with the financial fair play, it could be that players there still have to be sold. “I don’t close myself to players with good quality,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann last time.

FCB, News: Hoeneß comments on Nagelsmann’s criticism

Bayern Munich’s honorary president Uli Hoeneß has criticized a “terrible development” in society after criticism of Julian Nagelsmann after the difficult preparation of FC Bayern. But this is “exactly the right” Bayern coach “for the current time”. The 69-year-old emphasized this in an interview with RTL / ntv.

“We have to build something new, we need an alternative concept to these hundreds of millions that the sheikh clubs and oligarchs can spend,” Hoeneß justified his view. Nagelsmann is perfectly suited for this because he “has goals, has not yet won anything, creates a spirit of optimism and, above all, can work with young people”.

Bayern, News: Neuer is expected to be out against Cologne

Bayern Munich will have to do without captain Manuel Neuer in the Bundesliga home game against 1. FC Köln on Sunday (5.30 p.m.). “As of now, I do not assume that he will play. We have to look from day to day,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann on Friday.

The keeper suffered a capsule injury on his right ankle in the 3-1 victory of the German record champions in the Supercup at Borussia Dortmund.

“He has a small capsule problem, nothing dramatic. But it still needs rest,” said Nagelsmann. Neuer (35) was therefore also absent from the training sessions on Thursday and Friday.

Sven Ulreich, who returned to Bayern from Hamburger SV in the summer, is available as a replacement. “Sven does it well,” said Nagelsmann. Neuer played through the game against BVB on Tuesday.
