Maria KeaneFormer captain Vedad Ibisevic returns to Hertha BSC. As the Berliners announced on Wednesday, the 36-year-old will now be supporting head coach Pal Dardai as an offensive trainer.
Ibisevic scored 56 goals in 159 competitive games for Hertha from 2015 to 2020. He started last season for Schalke 04 before the contract was terminated in December 2020.
Now the Bosnian is returning to the capital. “I feel like a Hertha citizen and I am happy and grateful that I can take on this task now,” said Ibisevic, who emphasized the good discussions with Hertha managing director Fredi Bobic and coach Dardai.
According to his own statement, Bobic is convinced that Ibisevic “with his experience and his qualities as a former top striker will help to make our offensive players even better in the professional and performance area.”
