Miroslav Klose raves about the top game by Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland

World Cup record goal scorer Miroslav Klose raved about the two exceptional strikers before the direct clash between Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski in the top match between BVB and FC Bayern. According to Klose, the Pole has made an impressive development.

“Lewandowski has become more and more complete over the years: He has expanded his left foot, refined his positioning, improved his timing in situations and his head – his whole body,” said Klose, who was assistant coach of the current one until the start of the season National coach Hansi Flick worked for FC Bayern, the kicker.

Lewandowski has already scored an outstanding 20 goals in 14 games against his ex-club since he joined FC Bayern in 2014 on a free transfer. Haaland is in three duels against the German record champions with three hits. All five encounters between FCB and BVB, in which both were on the field, went to Munich.

After Haaland was out for weeks due to an injury to his hip flexor and BVB had to get over the elimination in the Champions League group stage, the Norwegian met again on his surprisingly early comeback last weekend in Wolfsburg. His involvement, Klose also made clear, gives the team “a push. It changes the BVB game and the team’s mentality.”

In the courted attacker, Klose sees a future striker of world class format, even if a few percentage points are currently missing compared to Lewandowski. “But it would also be bad if he had already reached his optimum,” said Klose of the 22-year-old, whose future will continue to be hotly debated beyond the end of the season. In the event of a farewell, he tends to move to Real Madrid, according to information from SPOX and GOAL.
