Maria KeaneEintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner is not worried about the rumors of change about winger Filip Kostic. “I assume that Filip will stay with us,” said the Austrian on Thursday.
According to Italian media reports, the Serbian international is being courted by Lazio Rome. After his ankle injury from the Augsburg game, Kostic made a “good impression” again in training, Glasner said.
Despite his false start as a Eintracht coach, the 46-year-old is calm about the tasks ahead. “Many points make me confident,” said Glasner. He could not say whether the knot would already burst on Saturday (3:30 p.m. in the live ticker) at Arminia Bielefeld: “But the way I experience the players in training every day, I know that we will get better and that we will get the necessary wins and points will.”
In his competitive game premiere for Hessen, Glasner had to accept a first round defeat in the DFB Cup at third division Waldhof Mannheim, followed by a clear defeat at Borussia Dortmund and a sobering zero number against FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga.
“All that glitters is not yet gold, we are aware of that, I don’t want to paint it much more beautifully than it is,” said Glasner, but emphasized: “We are improving our approaches.”
