Maria KeaneRB Leipzig will loan Hee-Chan Hwang (25) to the English first division club Wolverhampton Wanderers until the summer of 2022. The Saxons announced on Sunday.
The South Korean moved from RB Salzburg to Leipzig in July 2020 and scored three goals and prepared four goals in 29 competitive games for the runner-up.
Meanwhile, RB coach Jesse Marsch left open the question of a possible move from Marcel Sabitzer to Bayern Munich shortly before the away game at VfL Wolfsburg.
“I know there is a lot of speculation about the situation with Sabi. I can honestly say he is injured, so he is not there. Let’s see what happens in the next few days. We talked a lot about this topic,” said Marsch at DAZN before kick-off.
The Austrian was not in the squad on Sunday due to adductor problems.
