FC Bayern – News: Robert Lewandowski extends record series

At the start of the 59th Bundesliga season, goalscorer Robert Lewandowski from the German record champions Bayern Munich scored a goal on matchday 1 for the seventh season in a row. No other player in Bundesliga history scored in so many consecutive seasons.

In the opening game at Borussia Mönchengladbach (1: 1), the 32-year-old Pole scored the goal to make it 1: 1 in the 42nd minute. Previously, Alassane Plea (10th) was the first Gladbach player since 1975 to score the first goal of the season of a season.

Bundesliga: Most seasons in a row with goals on the 1st matchday

  • 7 in a row: Robert Lewandowski (2015/16 to 2021/22)
  • 4 in a row: Stefan Kießling and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (both 2012/13 to 2015/16)
  • 3 in a row: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (2015/16 to 2017/18), Patrick Helmes (2006/07 to 2008/09), Miroslav Klose (2005/06 to 2007/08), Marcus Feinbier (1999/2000 to 2001 / 02), Christian Schreier (1986/87 to 1988/89) Klaus Allofs (1983/84 to 1985/86), Klaus Fischer and Jupp Heynckes (both 1974/75 to 76/77)

FC Bayern – News: Nagelsmann wants first victory in the Supercup

Coach Julian Nagelsmann wants his first victory as coach of the German record champions Bayern Munich in the Supercup at Cup winner Borussia Dortmund (Tuesday, 8.30 p.m. in the live ticker). “We would have liked to win. Now we have to fix it on Tuesday,” said Nagelsmann after the 1-1 draw at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Without numerous national players, Bayern had not managed to win in four preparation games (three defeats). Nagelsmann was not dissatisfied with the season opener at Borussia-Park. “In the end it was a fair point-sharing. Both teams had a chance to score four or five goals,” said the 34-year-old.

However, he sees room for improvement in the defensive against Gladbach, which is sometimes shaky. “It is clear that we want to improve there,” said Nagelsmann: “If we lose the ball, we have to have good remaining defense and be more efficient in counter-pressing.”

FC Bayern – Rumor: FCB is interested in Nicolo Barella

According to rumors, Bayern are looking for another midfielder and apparently also have a European champion in their sights. As Corriere dello Sport reported, it is Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan.

This attracted attention with strong performances at the European Championship and apparently also for interest in numerous other clubs. However, Inter have already put a stop to a change, while clubs like Manchester City or Liverpool have dropped out and have oriented themselves differently.

After Romelu Lukaku’s transfer to Chelsea, the door was at least halfway open again, even if the newspaper says that only a mega offer would make the Italian champions rethink.

In addition to Bayern, Atletico Madrid should also be in the race. However, it seems impossible that FCB would make such a mega-offer after those responsible had repeatedly emphasized that they would no longer plan any major expenses in this transfer window.

FC Bayern – News: Amateurs create a runaway victory in the regional league

The second team of FC Bayern continues to draw lonely circles in the Regionalliga Bayern. At the home game against Pipinsried on Friday, there was a spectacular 6-1 win for coach Martin Demichelis’ team.

Christopher Scott, Gabriel Vidovic as well as Oliver Batista Meier and Nemanja Motika were responsible for the goals of the little Bavarians – the latter each scored twice. Lucas Schaufstetter scored the consolation goal for the guests with an interim 4: 1.

For the amateurs it is the sixth victory in the seventh game, which puts them at the top of the table of the Regionalliga Bayern with 19 points ahead of Bayreuth (15 points, one game less).
