Since the DFL has reassigned the Bundesliga broadcasting rights until 2025, there will be some changes in the broadcasting situation for the games. Most of the games will continue to be shown only on pay TV and in paid live streams.

The pay TV broadcaster Sky owns the broadcast rights for all Saturday games, all games in English weeks (Tuesday and Wednesday) and the associated conferences. Sky can only be received with a subscription. This also applies to the broadcasts in the live stream. Sky-Customers can get this via SkyGo watch, everyone else can get a paid SkyTicket Reserve.

Shows more live games from the Bundesliga than ever before DAZN. The streaming service broadcasts all Friday and Sunday games, a total of 106 games, in a live stream. From August 6th, the price structure will change for existing customers DAZN, for a subscription you then have to pay EUR 14.99 per month (monthly subscription) or a one-off EUR 149.99 (annual subscription). This already applies to new customers. However, you can still test DAZN for one month for the time being.

As in the previous season, only three games will be broadcast live on free TV in 2021/22. However, the provider is new. So far that was ZDF in possession of this set of rights, now it is SAT 1.

The three games are the opening game and one game each on the 17th and 18th day. Furthermore may SAT 1 show the Supercup and the two relegation games live on free TV at the end of the season.

For all of these games offers SAT 1 a free live stream at each time.
