The Dutch are currently missing three important attackers due to injuries. However, the chances of Malen’s return are considered to be low. The Dutchman only switched from Eindhoven to BVB last year for 30 million euros, this season he was in the starting XI in both competitive games for the black and yellow.
In the first round game of the DFB Cup at 1860 Munich, Malen shone with a goal and an assist. In the previous season, Malen made 38 appearances for Dortmund, in which he scored nine goals.
In BVB’s offensive, the cards were reshuffled after Erling Haaland left, and the club reacted to Sébastien Haller’s cancer by signing Anthony Modeste. It remains to be seen whether this transfer will have an impact on the operating times for Malen. His contract runs until 2026.
