The Bundesliga could hardly have gone into the first international break with a better game! Today, Sunday, August 29, VfL Wolfsburg welcomes RB Leipzig to a duel between two Champions League participants in the local Volkswagen-Arena. The game starts at 5.30 p.m.
After mixed preparations, VfL Wolfsburg made a furious start to the Bundesliga season 2021/22. The wolves are the only team with six points after two games. RB Leipzig has taken three points less so far. After the opening defeat in Mainz, the team of the new coach Jesse Marsch showed a completely different side against VfB Stuttgart and won 4-0.
“Two games, two wins – that cannot be taken for granted, and we are the only team that has made it in the Bundesliga,” said Wolfsburg coach Mark van Bommel, who hopes that the new attacker Luca Waldschmidt (head injury) and Wout Weghorst (flu-like infection) get fit in good time, before the duel with RB Leipzig.

The reassignment of the TV rights for this season brought some innovations. One is that Sky no longer has broadcast rights for the games on Sunday, which has always been the case in recent years. For this reason, Wolfsburg will not be broadcast by the pay TV broadcaster today against Leipzig.
The game can be seen at DAZN. The streaming service secured the transmission rights to all Sunday games, and “Netflix des Sports” also shows all Friday games. Today the broadcast with moderator Tobi Wahnschaffe, expert Sebastian Kneißl and commentator Jan Platte begins at 5 p.m.
