Maria KeaneAccording to his own statements, investor Lars Windhorst transferred the last agreed tranche of 30 million euros to Bundesliga club Hertha BSC on Friday. The entrepreneur gave up Twitter famous. “I have invested 375 million euros in the club since 2019,” wrote Windhorst: “I keep my word – and will also be at the side of the Herthaners in the future.”
Sports managing director Fredi Bobic could not confirm the receipt of the payment early on Friday afternoon. “The fact is that the receipt of money has to be confirmed on Monday,” said Bobic.
Most recently there had been media reports about payment problems, which Windhorst vehemently rejected. Windhorst and his Tennor Group had initially acquired 49.9 percent of the spin-off Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA in 2019 and announced in the previous year that they wanted to increase their shares to 66.6 percent. A total of around 375 million euros should flow for this.
