Maria KeaneBorussia Mönchengladbach will have to do without striker Marcus Thuram for the time being. As the foals announced on Wednesday, the French international tore his knee ligament in the 4-0 defeat in Leverkusen on Saturday. Borussia did not provide any information about the expected downtime.
Inter Milan recently showed great interest in signing the attacker, the son of 1998 world champion and former Italian professional Lilian Thuram, who was born in Parma. A transfer fee of around 20 million euros was in the room.
With storm colleague Alassane Plea, who like Thuram and Stefan Lainer (ankle fracture) was replaced injured against Leverkusen, Borussia was able to give the all-clear. His knee problems are not serious, the Frenchman will be back in team training shortly.
Breel Embolo was able to complete part of the training for the first time this season. The Swiss international striker suffered a thigh injury at the European Championships.
