Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart may have to do without center forward Sasa Kalajdzic for a longer period of time. This was indicated by coach Pellegrino Matarazzo after the 0: 4 (0: 1) defeat at RB Leipzig on Friday.
“He fell on his shoulder and dislocated his shoulder. There is still no diagnosis, but it could be that he will be out for a few weeks. That would be shitty for us,” said the coach DAZN.
Kalajdzic was substituted on in the 73rd minute and went to the ground shortly before the end after a header duel with Leipzig’s Nordi Mukiele. The Austrian was then taken from the square on a stretcher.
The 24-year-old, who was Stuttgart’s best scorer with 16 goals in the preseason, had just missed parts of the preparation due to a corona infection.
