Maria KeaneAnother corona case disrupts Borussia Mönchengladbach’s preparation for the season. As the club announced on Monday, the Swiss European Championship participant Denis Zakaria tested positive after returning from vacation and has been in quarantine for a week.
According to the club, the 24-year-old had “no contact with the rest of the team. He is fine and has no complaints at the moment.”
The French striker Alassane Plea is also out until further notice due to a capsule injury in his right knee.
Gladbach opens the new Bundesliga season on August 13th against the series champions Bayern Munich. A test match against FC Bayern is scheduled for Wednesday.
