Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AC Milan spoke in detail about Erling Haaland in an interview and praised the Borussia Dortmund striker.
“When you talk about young players, you have to talk about Haaland,” said the 40-year-old CBS Sports.
“Haaland is strong because he is obsessed with scoring goals,” said Ibra. He sees one of Dortmund’s strengths in the fact that he only has the essentials in mind. “He doesn’t do more than he has to. He just focuses on goals,” said Ibrahimovic.
And that is exactly Haaland’s recipe for success: “There are players who think of themselves that they can do more than is actually the case. That is not a sign of intelligence,” said Ibrahimovic. “But at Haaland I see this intelligence,” he added, then summarizing the Haaland phenomenon from his point of view: “He just wants to score, he knows that he can score and that’s why he only tries that.”
In the current season Erling Haaland is in 15 appearances for BVB with 19 goals. He is currently associated with Manchester United and FC Bayern Munich, among others.
